The similarity of communication concepts of the social media platforms today like in Facebook, Instagram and Twitter will continue to be elevated through 2030 by the endless possibilities of projecting images on our walls in our homes or even in thin air. The author of the article I read from digital journal explains that in 2030, using social media with augmented and virtual reality components will be like the internet leaping of and out of our devices and projecting the 3D images right into mid air in our homes. I found this video that explains what augmented reality is and what it looks like. This will give us a good idea how we can use augmented and virtual realities using our devices in 2030. In 2030, virtual worlds will be interactive spaces of communication like Facetime with a digital image that is so believable it will look like the person is sitting right next to you.

The differences I learned about that exist between Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality today are that they exist separately. In this video it shows how today, augmented reality can show furniture in a room only through a device. Virtual Reality is more prominent with the who experience using, for example, google glasses. It stimulates the senses for a more realistic experience. Another writer in an article I read described differences as being the Virtual Reality is like being able to envision being able to swim alongside a shark and augmented reality is like viewing a business card that appears as though a shark is popping out towards you. There is a plethora of information today on the internet that talks about how these two realities will merge together in 2030 and become the standard platform for users of augmented and virtual reality.
